But the unprecedented series of nine fun staff activity days is a reward for hard work that has helped the Fareham-based IT company enjoy a bumper year.

Staff voted to select their favourite events form a list of 14, opting for an exciting selection taking in everything from skiing trips in the French Alps to Pottery.

Visits to Paultons Park, tree-top adventure Go-Ape, beer festivals, Salisbury races and a virtual F1 racing challenge are all in the offering as a thank you to Taylor Made’s 110-strong workforce.

The eye-catching events programme follows a similarly high-profile year for the company, which has signed a succession of major clients and launched a recruitment drive to cater for the growth in business. Since January, Taylor Made has added 17 new members of staff in both engineering and account management roles in order to keep up with demand for its services, and is still heavily recruiting.

But one Hampshire IT worker is among the first people on the planet to lay their hands on the New iPad after an all-night vigil at her computer.

Emma Downing, of Fareham IT services brand Taylor Made Computer Solutions, stayed up all night at the launch on March 7 to order one of the tablet devices as soon as sales opened. Deliveries of the New iPad are synchronised across the world for this morning.

It’s vital for the firm to stay at the forefront of the latest technology,, with Taylor Made’s hosted services able to be operated with any device, including Apple’s iconic iPad.

One of the most hotly anticipated technological releases of all time, waiting times for those not lucky enough to get one of the first batches of the New iPad are estimated to be up to three weeks.

Emma, 22, said:”I had to stay up at my computer past 5am, refreshing the website and trying to be ready for the exact second that sales opened and then trying to get in o the huge global queue to be sure we got one.”

“I love the iPad, it’s such a sleek and stylish bit of technology. But our commitment at Taylor Made to improving efficiencies with technology such as remote working means we weren’t prepared to wait to get hold of one. We need to ensure that our customers can access their systems from any device.”
