IT Support Engineer experienced in Microsoft, Citrix & Cisco

Overview

Due to continued growth and expansion, we currently have a vacancy for an IT Support Engineer with a proven track record of supporting and installing a variety of systems.

This position will involve visiting multiple customer sites, so it is essential that candidates have a full, clean UK driving licence.

The successful candidate will have: proven previous experience of 2nd and 3rd line support, preferably for an IT service provider; evidence of previous Microsoft migrations/ installations; and will need a sound knowledge of Microsoft server technologies.

Successful candidates will require at least 85% of the technical skills listed below, plus excellent telephone and customer care skills.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Windows XP, Vista and 7 configuration and support experience (MCDST/MCTS or above preferred)
  • Windows Server 2000, 2003 and 2008 configuration and support experience (MCITP/MCSE preferred)
  • Microsoft Exchange 2000,2003,2007 and 2010 configuration and support experience
  • Active Directory configuration and administration
  • Strong networking skills
  • Citrix Server installation, configuration and support experience (CCA or above preferred)
  • Cisco Router and IOS installation, configuration and support experience (CCNA or above preferred)
  • HP Proliant Server Hardware installation, configuration and support experience
