Job Summary

Directly responsible for maintaining and developing Taylor Made's largest clients, specifically designing and implementing clients strategic IT plans. Supported by Pre-sales Consultants you will be responsible for developing technical solutions, delivering technical scoping advice, working with budgets and producing proposals presented at Board level.

Overview

This is a vitally important position within Taylor Made, as you will be directly responsible for maintaining and developing our largest and most long standing customer relationships. As well as being responsible for the management of existing customer accounts, you will also work with new customers developing the business across a range of services and solutions provided by Taylor Made.

This role requires a strong IT background, preferably from an IT reseller environment such as Technical Pre-sales or Business Management. A full UK driving licence is also essential for this role.

This is an exciting and challenging position for the right candidate combining technical and commercial skills. Communications skills and integrity are essential, as are a higher than average standard of grammar and written English. You will be educated to at least GCSE level C or above, English and Maths, and have a strong desire to develop your knowledge across broad aspects of the IT industry. A sound understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel is required as is good practical IT experience, along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well in a team.

A strong practical understanding of Microsoft products such as Windows Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint and SQL, with experience of Citrix, VMware and Cisco networking and telephony products are desirable.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Visiting customers, recommending technical solutions, and ensuring that the solutions we provide will help drive their business forward.
  • Liason between the technical engineering team, project managers and consultants to ensure customer projects work smoothly and run on time and budget.
  • Review helpdesk support history and deal with client queries as required.
  • Managing all aspects of client procurement including license management.
  • We will provide technical training and full training on our processes procedures and systems.
  • Aided by pre-sales consultants, creating strategic solutions and proposals managing the ongoing ICT requirements for our customers.
  • Presentation of solutions to clients at decision maker level.
  • Tender responses.
  • Development of Taylor Made service and product portfolio.

This is a key and varied role within the company and since you will be a point of contact with customers it is essential that a high level of professionalism is promoted. Working as part of a team, but able to work on your own initiative, it is vitally important that communications and professional skills are at a high level.
