Due to continued growth, we have a position for an Outsource IT Support Engineer to provide IT support within the ITIL framework for Windows based clients in a Citrix environment to one of our customers based in Hampshire. You will be providing support for our customer at their Southampton office and also undertaking branch site visits.
The role includes manning the helpdesk providing 3rd line support, ensuring that response and fix times are kept within our SLAs, providing desktop and infrastructure support, installation and configuration of a variety of equipment, and providing break fix support as required.
The successful candidate will have technical skills to 3rd line support, and ideally will have experience in supporting customers on site rather than using remote technology. Technical skills required for this role include:
- Windows XP, Vista and 7 configuration and support experience (MCDST/MCTS or above preferred)
- Windows Server 2000,2003 and 2008 configuration and support experience (MCITP/MCSE preferred)
- VMware V-Sphere Administration
- Citrix Xenapp Server installation, configuration and support experience (CCA or above preferred)
- Microsoft Exchange 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2010 configuration and support experience
- Active Directory and administration
- Strong networking skills
- HP Proliant Server Hardware installation, configuration and support experience
