Since Iceland’s Eyjafjallokull eruption last week, sending plumes of ash across Europe’s airspace, travel chaos has descended upon airports and hundreds of thousands of British holidaymakers are stranded across the World – including two Directors and their family from Fareham-based IT company, Taylor Made Computer Solutions!

Managing Director Nigel Taylor and his wife Alison, Financial Director, have been left stranded in the picturesque Austrian ski resort of Hintertux with their family following the cancellations at the airports.

Both were scheduled to return to the office this week, but the ash isn’t stopping them working as they have been able to set up their own ‘office’ from the resort using a laptop, a Datacard, Citrix and their mobiles!

“For most the cancellations are an absolute nightmare, but with the help of the remote working solutions we promote, Aly and I have been able to continue to work without a problem! In fact it works so well and the weather is so beautifully perfect, we have begun to think of setting up a permanent office in the Alps very soon!” commented Nigel Taylor.

Despite a few rescheduled appointments it is business as usual for the pair – apart from lunch breaks on the pistes!
