Our Taylor Made team have taken a leaf from The Proclaimers’ book and walked 500 miles.
But rather than falling down at a door, we are only just getting started.
Our Taylor Made staff have clocked 500 miles over the last three months in training for their Three Peaks Challenge in September.
20 of our employees will put on their walking boots and climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in just one day. In doing so we hope to raise £15,000 for local charity, Wessex Cancer Trust.
About the training
Our team has been training hard since April, running together from our company’s headquarters in Cams Hall Estate every Wednesday and embarking on longer walks at weekends. We expect to add another 500 miles to our training total over coming months, with training expeditions planned on the South Coast and in the Brecon Beacons.
Team leader Joe Jeffers said: “We all know that preparation is key when it comes to IT projects so we’ve been applying the same logic to our Three Peaks Challenge. We’re a pretty close team as it is but the training has brought us even closer together, which is nice. We’re already feeling much fitter and can’t wait to see how quickly we can complete the challenge in September.”
