Taylor Made is very passionate about working with charities and raising money to help as and when we can. We have worked alongside some amazing charities throughout the years such as Wessex Cancer Trust, Brendon Care Foundation, Wessex Heartbeat, Cancer Research and so many more.
We have previously worked closely with Naomi House and Jack’s Place and members of staff ran the London Marathon to raise money for this wonderful charity.
As a team, we have chosen to raise money for Naomi House and Jack’s Place again this year as they have touched our hearts massively, especially for one very strong woman, Fiona.
In August 2017, Fiona and her family went through a very difficult time. Fiona’s granddaughter Lylah-Rose was stillborn for 20 minutes before being resuscitated. This left Lylah-Rose with an unpredictable future, which sadly ended in October. Due to the services that Naomi House provided, the whole family spent every important moment together in a warm, loving environment fully supported by staff and equipment to make each minute count.
As Naomi House and Jack’s Place is very close to Fiona’s heart she will be taking part in a fundraising event to help more families just like hers.
Fiona Woodham, PA at Taylor Made said, “My Husband Paul and I will be raising money by doing the Clarendon Way Walk in aid of Naomi House on 3rd June 2018 by walking a massive 26 miles from Winchester Cathedral to Salisbury Cathedral. We like a little walk, however, we have never walked further than 10 miles and there is always at least one pub involved! This is going to be a huge challenge for us!
When we were told that Lylah-Rose was not going to survive, our little family moved over to Naomi House for what we thought would be our last days with her. As it turned out, she fought on, not only through those first troubled days but for 8 weeks, which we spent at home.
Lylah-Rose did sadly pass but Naomi House welcomed us all back into their fold and helped and supported us through those first awful days. I cannot put into words the difference that their care, love and understanding of our hurt and needs made, to not only Laura and Darren but also our little men, Paul and I, Laura’s Grandparents and Auntie too.
Naomi House made such a very real, positive difference to what has been an awful time, and they continue to help families like ours.
I am very excited to be taking part in this challenge for Naomi House because they did so much for me and my family.”
Taylor Made will be supporting Fiona in this amazing challenge and will be fundraising throughout the year by doing monthly dress down days, bake sales and so much more to help families just like Fiona’s. We are wishing Fiona and her husband Paul the best of luck for this amazing challenge.
