The rapid development in computers, mobile phones and the internet has effected every sector of commerce since the start of the century that’s why we at Taylor Made Computer Solutions sponsor the Award for the Best Use of Technology at the Daily Echo-backed South Coast Business Awards.

The winner of this award will have used technology to create considerable competitive or operational improvement such as improved quality, customer satisfaction or revenue. They will also have demonstrated success through the innovative application of a new idea, product or method of process.

The judges are looking for a business or organisation that has used technology to stand out from its competitors and exceed the expectations of its customers as well as. demonstrating a creative and different way of working to keep the business fresh and responsive to changing ever customer needs.

Nigel Taylor, our Managing Director said “We’re lucky enough to see first-hand how businesses across the South Coast are using technology to their advantage. Smart companies are using IT to help them innovate, become more efficient and grow, rather than just keeping them ‘ticking along’ We are excited to see the entries in this year’s Best Use of Technology category and based on the quality of last year’s submissions, they have a big act to follow.”

Last year Leadstream “stood out as a clear winner” in this category showing “true innovation creating and developing their own technology to enhance service to their customers”.
Leadstream was founded in 2014 by owner and co-directors Matthew Milnes and Michael Hubbard and their company is based on an online platform to connect people looking for life insurance and mortgages with brokers.

They find customers for financial companies’ products through online forms and follow that up by speaking to the customers about their requirements. They then confirms the customer is interested in a certain product or service therefore subsequently handing over their details to a financial advisor.

The idea for the business came from Matthew and Michael and the software was developed by technical director Ian Harvey. This year the firm was eighth in startup.co.uk’s 100 list of this year’s most exciting and inspiring new businesses sponsored by AXA Insurance.

The Awards evening will take place at the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl on Friday, July 13 where we will be revealing the winners and celebrating their successes in style. It will be a black tie event and a night to remember.

Tickets are priced at £70+vat per person or £650+vat for a table of 10. The price includes drinks reception, three course banquet with wine plus entertainment.
