We held our first charity golf day in aid of Wessex Heartbeat in 2017. It was so popular that it’s back for a second year and we hope to raise even money for the heart charity this time round, after raising £32,000 last year.
The event will take place on Friday, September 14 at the 18-hole Hilton at the Ageas Bowl golf course. Participants will enjoy top-quality golf as well as several on-the-hole challenges and competitions. Those who take part may also get to rub shoulders well-known faces too, with local sporting celebrities taking part.
The Taylor Made charity golf day will also feature a gala dinner in the evening, with live music, an auction, raffle and further entertainment. Separate tickets are available or people can buy a combined ticket to both parts of the day.
Nigel Taylor, our Managing Director, said: “We were absolutely thrilled with how much we raised at our first charity golf day for Wessex heartbeat last year. The event was so well received that we’ve decided to bring it back, even bigger and better for 2018 and we can’t wait to get out on the green. Our aim is to raise even more for Wessex Heartbeat, which is such a fantastic local charity.”
John Munro, chief executive of Wessex Heartbeat, said: “We’re thrilled that Taylor Made is organising another brilliant day to raise money for our charity. We rely heavily on the kindness of community fundraisers to help us support our life-saving work and Taylor Made is a great example of a business going the extra mile to help.”
